support our mission
The more of us there are, the stronger the cats' voice is heard. Kissojen Oikeudet ry publishes press releases, prepares statements, and assists private cat owners in defending the rights of cats.
With the income collected from membership fees, we cover the association's administrative expenses, such as website maintenance and banking service fees, etc. With the remainder of our funds, we assist a selected cat welfare cause in Finland or abroad on a case-by-case basis. We also announce the beneficiary and the amount on our Facebook page.
You can find our annual activity report in the News (Ajankohtaista) section.
The supporting membership fee is €20 per year. As a supporting member, you will receive an invitation to the annual general meeting, where you can bring up issues that are important to you for discussion.

Greetings from our members
A cat is not just a pet. It has not been domesticated in the same way as a dog, and cats have the right to live a species-typical life supported by humans.
Let's make sure that cats are allowed to live a species-typical life. A mandatory opportunity for outdoor access for indoor cats.
The cat is a wonderful companion animal. Wishing you success in your work!
Hopefully, the kitties get to remain free-roaming. ❤️
Thank you for continuing to stand up for cats!
I want to support work that acknowledges the domestic cat's natural need and characteristics for free outdoor roaming without the cat immediately being labeled a runaway or homeless animal that must be trapped. Bending an animal solely into an indoor cat according to human ideologies is wrong and inhumane toward both the cat and cat owners. The cat is a utility animal and, to the greatest extent, also a pet and a family member.
Hello! I also asked my friend to join as a member since they are a cat owner. There would be so much to ask and talk about regarding cats' rights.
Thank you for standing up for cats!
Wishing everyone "cat days" (living the good life)!
Hello. Cats are wonderful!!❣️❣️❣️
